Studentradion på Musikhögskolan i Piteå startades redan 1989. Den startades för att studenterna på ljudingenjörsutbildningen skulle ha möjlighet till praktisk övning. De sände då två timmar i veckan, då liksom nu via närradioföreningen i Piteå. Innehavare av sändningstillståndet är Studentkåren på Musikhögskolan i Piteå.
