哈尔滨经济广播电台开播于1992年10月1日，是黑龙江省第一家经济电台，播出频率为中波972千赫，调频92.5兆赫。中波节目从早五点三十分开播到晚二十三点播音结束，全程全天直播17小时30分；调频节目全天24小时全程直播。中波972千赫的广播节目在吉林省的德惠、抚余、舒兰、榆树，黑龙江省的双城、五常、阿城、宾县、呼兰、绥化、肇东、安达和大庆都能获得较好的收听效果；调频92.5兆赫在哈尔滨市城区能够获得满意的立体声广播。 哈尔滨经济广播电台同国内中央、珠江、东方、南京、乌鲁木齐、济南、大连等70多家电台保持密切联系，是全国经济电台研究会成员台，全国证券广播网成员台。
