成都交通广播电台由成都人民广播电台和市公安交通管理局共同主办，强势联合。一个被国家人事部和广电总局授予1999年至2003年度“全国先进集体”称号的荣誉媒体。始创于1992年。由成都电台与成都公安交通管理局联合、携手共建。 成都电台交通广播一个拥有双频率（FM91.4，AM1485）传输一套节目的典型都市电台。10千瓦的强劲功率全面覆盖成都十区十县市及周边地区，传播半径大于100公里。 成都电台交通广播一个以“服务大众，辅佐交通”为办台宗旨的综合新闻媒体。节目设置突出交通特色，体现服务目的。节目构架机动灵活，反映敏捷。节目内容服务广泛、丰富多彩。
