Howard University owned 96.3 WHUR-FM is a trailblazer in the Washington DC area and has been broadcasting since 1971 to nearly a half million listeners daily in five states and streaming across the world. WHUR serves its audience with creative entertainment and music, as well as a commitment to community service that is second to none. Programming on WHUR includes “The Steve Harvey Morning Show”, “Middays w/ Autumn-Joi and the Live Squad”, “The Frank Ski Show”, “The Daily Drum w/ Harold Fisher” and “The Original Quiet Storm w/ John Monds”, which was created at WHUR and exist in many forms today across the country. WHUR is a progressive Urban Adult Contemporary station that continues to serve its listenership with a variety of Old School, 90’s and Now music that Sounds Like Washington!
