A Rádio Clube do Pará surgiu cinco anos depois da abertura da primeira rádio brasileira, a Rádio Sociedade do Rio de Janeiro, fundada em 1923. A data da transmissão inaugural da Rádio Clube foi 22 de abril de 1928. O evento foi comemorado com um coquetel em grande estilo, já que era considerado um acontecimento sem precedentes para a época. À frente deste grande empreendimento, estavam os pioneiros Roberto Camelier, Eriberto Pio e Edgar Proença.
