DYWF 93.1 Brigada News FM Cebu came to being in 2013 when its owner acquired the station from Vimcontu Broadcasting Corporation which first broadcasted in 1992 as Smash 93.1. The station now broadcasts with a 25-kilowatt state of the art transmitter that Brigada installed.
